VYASA PUJA OFFERING 2020

VYASA PUJA OFFERING 2020

Dear Gurudev,

Please accept my obeisances at your lotus feet .

On this most auspicious day of your appearance I’m meditating on what gift I can offer to you.

I’m not an expert cook to offer you nice Prasad offerings.

I’m not an expert singer or mridanga player to offer you nice songs from our Acaryas.

I’m not an expert preacher who can make new devotees and bring them to your lotus feet .

What can such an insignificant jiva offer to you as a gift?

Few years ago we asked you what gift you would like for your birthday.

You told us that you will be most pleased if your disciples can chant maha mantra seriously and with great attention and humility .

You explained that that would be the greatest gift disciple can offer to you.

At the time of my initiation you gave me the qualification to chant maha mantra and instructed me to chant with great sincerity. Many times I failed to chant the maha mantra properly but today dear Gurudev I really tried my best.

Remembering your wish, I decided to offer you a gift that is most dear to you, sincere chanting of Maha Mantra.

Desiring to follow your instruction at the time of my initiation and your wish for your birthday I decided to chant 64 rounds with great sincerity and humility and offer it to you as a gift with the hope that it would be pleasing to you.

This small offering to you is my attempt to repay the debt for all the gifts you have given to me.

Srimad Bhagavatam 10.80.41-This indeed is the duty of all true disciples: to repay the debt to their spiritual master by offering him, with pure hearts, their wealth and even their very lives.

Your servant
