With Krishna, there is constant magic, especially for those devotees who are seriously endeavouring to satisfy Krishna with their service, sadhana and devotee dealings.
Srila Prabhupad always encouraged devotees to take responsibility on behalf of their Guru, and for the satisfaction of Radha and Krishna.
He would often say that any service performed for Krishna will never go in vain; wherever we go, we will carry with us this wealth of devotional service.
The process of bhakti, if practised properly, will qualify us to experience great bliss and real Krishna magic.
My main service is puja, and more specifically dressing the Deities and ensuring daily worship is maintained.
Yesterday with the team we decided to offer to Radha Gokulananda a special green outfit that was designed by Ramadevi Mataji, a senior devotee from our congregation, as an offering to the Deities for their 40th anniversary of installation that occurred a few years ago.
After the morning darshan, for some reason I felt I should ask some of the senior devotees to send darshan photos to Ramadevi Mataji so that she could take darshan and see how the Lord is accepting her service.
After I received confirmation that they would inform Mataji about Krishna wearing the outfit she designed for Him, I left to do my service.
Later in the evening when I returned I saw a missed call and message from a devotee asking why we chose to offer this outfit today. I replied that out of the 100 + outfits, this particular one was not offered for a long time so we decided to offer it today.
The devotee replied back to me in great ecstasy, saying that today is the birthday of the Mataji who designed this outfit for Their Lordships!!
The only thing that came to my mind was, “Krishna did it again!! Krishna magic!”
What is the chance that out of 365 days and around a hundred outfits that we have, we decided to offer one that was made by Ramadevi Mataji, on her birthday?
Krishna wanted to reciprocate with Ramadevi Mataji for all the services that she has performed for him.
I remembered the words from Srila Prabhupad, “any service you do for Krishna, Krishna will never forget”.
Devotional service is full of magic, and a sincere sadhaka will gain extraordinary experiences that will help him to deepen his faith and realisations, which will ultimately make him want Krishna alone, and nothing else.
