Silent contribution

Silent contribution

I have a friend who is a monk, living in a monastery for over 30 years.

What is unique about him is that he doesn’t require an appreciation for his services and achievements.

Over the years he rendered various services for the temple and helped many devotees in the community but he never asked for a “medal” for his achievements.

Year after year he simply does his service, away from the eyes of the public, and never expects anything in return.

Whenever he has an opportunity he will serve devotees and although he is senior to practically everyone else around him, still he will make you feel like he is your friend rather than your superior.

This devotee is silently contributing so much to the movement and making rapid spiritual progress.

Behind the scene, he is transforming the hearts of those who can recognize his saintly qualities and take advantage of his association.

There are so many gems like this devotee who are silently contributing to the movement and practically teaching us how simple this process of Krishna consciousness is.
