Today we were at Ganga and I was offering prayers asking mother Ganga to purify me and always manifest whenever I chant mantra to invoke her presence for acaman.Being from the west i don’t have privilege to bathe in Her waters to get purified so I prayed that she manifests to me whenever I call her with mantra. Simply by bathing in Ganga all sins are destroyed.

I also prayed for devotees and prayed to be able to come again and again to Mayapur Dham,

After we finished with our bath and prayers we walked back home and I was thinking how it would be good if I could see someone who could lend me money so I could buy sandwich(I didn’t take any money with me) so I don’t need to walk back to the campus again for that.

Few minutes after one devotee called us while we walked back home and he was more than happy to buy a sandwich for me.

I was not so much happy for that sandwich how much I was moved to see how Krishna is always carefully hearing our desires and needs and when needed he is ready to help.

While walking I didn’t pray to Krishna to fulfil by order rather I just made him aware of my need.I expressed my desire but didn’t demand for it. I left up to him if he wants to help.

Our duty is to place ourselves in His hands and wait. Wait for the mercy whilst at the same time praying, expressing our situation and not forgetting about prayer we offered .

Ananyas cintayanto mam…… I will look after you Krishna says. You just serve me with the mood that I’m your only real shelter.

On the first it sounds sentimental or very esoteric but by carefully meditating on the meaning of that verse from Bhagavat Gita we can learn about Krishna’s feelings. He wants us to have the same feeling towards Him so it becomes relationship. We forgot about that relationship but He didn’t . He is constantly reminding us but we are afraid to even try to give ourselves once, even as an experiment .

Secret of prayer is that we don’t ask Krishna for help but rather inform Him about our situation, let Him decide what is best for us.

If we have already decided what we want and pray for it then we are limiting Krishna to show us what is best for us.

This sandwich today had special value for me, it was not only sandwich, it was special maha Prasad, special mercy…

Mother Ganga purifies heart in very mystical way.
